The 017 TUBE and 017 FET (formerly SU-019) condensers have the big and classic sound you’ve been searching for. Truly handmade capsules make these high performance microphones at home when detail, depth, and warmth are imperative to capture. The silky yet clear top end inherent in the capsule design, makes the 017 perfect for complementing the subtle nuances of vocalists, strings, and other complex instruments with difficult transients and sonics that cover the full frequency spectrum.

The green badged 017 FET comes in a wooden case with a custom, hand-machined shock mount.

Innovation Through Heritage

The engineers at Soyuz spent years honing their craft studying, servicing, and working on the classics. They poured all of their knowledge into creating the 017 Series’ custom S17 capsule– a special capsule with an honest and open top-end, smooth and graceful mid-range, and a powerful yet balanced low-end. The 017 Series’ S17 capsule features a gold-sputtered, hand-tuned 34mm diaphragm that is based on the original K67 capsule developed in 1960. Soyuz has further developed the design, modifying how it is assembled and tuned. The result, when paired with Soyuz’s original schematic, is a capsule unlike any other.

Handcrafted

As with all Soyuz microphones, 017 Series microphones are completely handmade: bodies and capsules are manually machined and transformers are wound in-house in Tula, Russia.
