Perfect for vocals, drum overheads, and acoustic instruments, Telefunken's C12 tube condenser microphone gives you uncompromising performance and stunningly natural-sounding results. This large-diaphragm condenser features omni, cardioid, and figure-8 polar patterns, and you can variably adjust between them. You'll love this mic's clarity, pleasing midrange character, and smooth top end. The dedicated lunchbox-style power supply features an external pattern selector. A locking flight case and a wooden storage box are also included.
Built like the original
Like the classic C12 microphones of yesterday, the Telefunken C12 tube condenser mic is built using the original specifications. The large diaphragm and transformer are made by utilizing the original manufacturer's technical specifications, and the transformer is even made by the same manufacturer as the vintage ones were. Telefunken even uses an NOS microphone-grade tube in the C12 to capture that classic sound.
Real tube-fired tone that will impress
You can't deny the warmth of tube-driven mics. Telefunken's C12 tube condenser microphone sports a new old stock 6072a tube. You'll love the warm and detailed, accurate sound that this mic gives you, thanks to its tube design. Get that elusive tube mic sound with the Telefunken C12 tube condenser microphone.
Variable polar patterns offer recoding flexibility
Not just a one-trick-pony, the Telefunken C12 tube condenser microphone's power supply features switchable polar patterns. You get omni, cardioid, figure-8, and six other intermediate stages. In other words, no matter what you're miking, the C12 has a polar pattern to maximize it. Use the omni pattern to catch the sound of a great room or a group of singers, cardioid to reject unwanted sounds, and figure-8 is great for mid-side recording. The versatile and flexible Telefunken C12 tube condenser mic is ready for any session.
Features:
- Reissue of the classic C12 microphone
- The smooth top end and warm sound that only a tube mic can deliver
- Selectable omni, cardioid, figure-8, and 6 other intermediate polar pattern stages
- Custom-built transformer is true to the original specs and even built by the original manufacturer
- Microphone grade 6072a tube delivers stellar sound and performance
- Incredibly realistic and detailed sound reproduction

TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik has assembled the three unique voices of its TEC Award winning Dynamic Series microphone line, in combination with two matched small diaphragm FET condensers, and packaged them as the 6-microphone DC6 Drum Pack for drum recording and live performance applications. Each microphone set consists of the M82 handling kick drum duties, the M80-SHB on snare, the M81-SH for toms, and the M60 FET Cardioid for cymbals or overheads.
The DC6 ships in the heavy-duty hard shell HC87 flight case and include multiple drum mounts (M782, M784 and M785) and an SGMC-5R five-meter XLR cable with a right angle female connector for each microphone in the set.
DC6 Drum Microphone Set includes:
- 1x M82 with M782 mount
- 1x M80-SHB with M784 (metal) and M785 (plastic) mount
- 2x M81-SH with M784 (metal) and M785 (plastic) mount
- 2x M60 FET with M760 elastic mount
- 6x SGMC-5R five-meter XLR with right angle female connector
- 1x HC80 Hard Shell Flight Case
M80-SHB
TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik created the M80-SHB for use on snare drum and vocal applications where a lower profile microphone with right angle XLR cable is needed. The M80-SHB is the same exact circuit as the M80 Standard, housed in a shorter microphone body with a built-on stand mount. The wide frequency response and higher SPL capabilities of the M80-SHB offer the user a superior alternative to the midrange-laden character of many of the industry's standard dynamic microphones. A tight cardioid polar pattern and a frequency response boasting a subtle rise in the high end result in a microphone that is equally suitable for snare drum, vocals or instruments on both the stage and the studio. The M80-SHB is finished on both the headgrille and body with a durable, textured black powder coat.
M81-SH
The M81-SH was designed with the goal of developing a mic that would not only complement the M80-SH, but also stand out in a universe filled with dynamic microphone options. Building off many of the strengths of the M80, the TELEFUNKEN M81-SH retains the same minimal proximity effect, superior feedback rejection, and an articulate mid-range. However, with the M81-SH, the top end is pulled back a bit, yielding a flatter overall frequency response. This combination results in a microphone with a wealth of body and clarity, making it a great tool for fattening up toms, percussion and horns, or taming brighter vocals or thinner sounding sources. The M81-SH is identical to the M81 in circuit, but housed in a shorter microphone body with a built-on stand mount, and finished in a durable, textured dark gray powder coat on both the headgrille and body.
M82 Dynamic
The TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik M82 is a robust large diaphragm end-address dynamic microphone that has been designed for kick drum and vocal broadcast applications. Hand-assembled in CT, USA, the M82 features two independently functioning EQ switches: KICK EQ and HIGH BOOST, which in turn offer four unique voices. The M82's KICK EQ switch engages a passive filter that reduces some of the lower mid-range frequencies (centered around 350Hz) commonly cut when processing a kick drum. The HIGH BOOST switch tilts the upper mid-range and high frequencies (starting around 2kHz with a 6dB boost by 10kHz) to allow for extra articulation. In the flat setting (both switches off), the M82 is equally suited for vocals, guitar amps, and brass.
M60 FET
The newly designed TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik M60 FET (Field Effect Transistor) small diaphragm microphone is TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik's first non-vacuum tube, FET-based solid-state condenser microphone. The DC6 includes two identical M60 FET amplifiers and two matched TK60 cardioid capsules. The TK60 features a 6-micron gold-sputtered membrane measuring 15mm in diameter, with a surprisingly full low end, and a quick and accurate transient response. The frequency response is flat from 150 Hz to 7 kHz, with a smooth, airy presence peak at 8 kHz making it ideal for drum overheads, hi-hat and ride cymbals, as well as various mallet and string based percussion. The M60 FET's incredibly quick transient response captures nuances and subtleties with impressive precision and clarity. This results in an extremely detailed sonic image with definition and presence, perfectly suited for the complex character of string instruments and percussive sources.

The Telefunken ELA M 251E large-diaphragm tube condenser mic is a faithful rendition of a legend. The original, introduced in 1960, is reverentially considered to be one of the most gorgeous sounding mics ever made. With rare working-condition vintage '251s going for major ducats, this meticulous reissue is a no-brainer if you're after that uniquely smooth, present, and open sound you've heard on countless hits. Sporting three pickup patterns and a max SPL of 138dB, this microphone delivers sumptuous results on any instrument. Stock your mic locker with a classic: the Telefunken ELA M 251E.
Achieve sonic opulence (without a second mortgage)
Made from 1960 to 1965 with an estimated total production run of fewer than 3,700 units, the original Telefunken ELA M 251E is highly coveted. Rare working-condition vintage examples fetch well into the five figures, when you can even find one for sale. So, Telefunken did something very intelligent: a meticulous reissue. But first, as there were no available blueprints or schematics for the original, they had to reverse-engineer from prime vintage samples. The results are jaw-dropping: pure sonic opulence.
Three polar patterns accommodate any recording task
With its three pickup patterns, the Telefunken ELA M 251E is ideal for a range of stereo recording techniques if you have two, including Spaced Pair (A/B), XY (including Blumlein), ORTF array, and Mid-Side (MS). Read on for a few examples to get the creative juices flowing.
A few examples of what you can do with this incredible mic
Two singers, one mic: grab the Telefunken ELA M 251E, set it to figure-8, and you're good to go. Record a sax solo overdub with natural "slap": position the ELA M 251E (again, on figure-8) between the sax player and the control room window and adjust mic position to taste. Ginormous Val Garay-style toms (two racks and a floor): three '251s on cardioid, fairly close-in, just don't let the drummer hit the mics! Full symphony orchestra, Bob Fine's Mercury Living Presence technique: Three '251s, set to omni, across the proscenium arch; record to three tracks panned left, center, and right. Set your levels for peaks, then leave those faders alone and let the conductor balance the orchestra. We could go on, but you can already see how the Telefunken ELA M 251E can be used in any number of ways to produce incredible sounding tracks.
Features:
- A glorious sounding reissue of a glorious sounding classic
- Meticulously crafted to historic detail
- Edge-terminated, dual backplate CK-12 capsule
- 1" dual-sided gold sputtered membrane
- External power supply (supplied)
- 3 polar patterns: cardioid, omni, and figure-8
- 138dB maximum SPL

Promising condenser-like performance, the Telefunken M80 dynamic microphone lets you set a new standard for high-quality live performances. Unlike the midrange-heavy tone of many popular handheld mics, the M80 employs a low-mass capsule and ultra-thin membrane to capture every nuance of your performance with amazing balance and detail. And you'll get great results anywhere you go thanks to the custom-wound impedance-matching transformer. You don't need an expensive condenser mic to get studio-quality sound on stage - you need the Telefunken M80.
Specially-designed capsule gives the mic a wide, balanced response
Telefunken designed the M80's head and capsule to reduce the proximity effect created by the supercardioid polar pattern. That means your vocals won't get boomy or indistinct, yet you still get the feedback-fighting characteristics of a directional microphone.
Remarkably consistent sound no matter what you're plugging into
If you're a live performer, you know that it's tough to get a consistent sound every night when you're plugging into a different mixing board each time. Different microphone preamplifiers can operate at different impedance levels, and that affects the sound of your microphone. The Telefunken M80 sports an American made, custom wound transformer that automatically matches impedance, and that means your vocal sound will be consistent no matter what you're plugging into.
Clear, detailed sound is perfect for vocals or instruments
The diaphragm on the Telefunken M80 is super thin, which gives it a fast, un-colored response that captures your sound with incredible detail. Because it's not a midrange-heavy mic like some dynamic mics, it's not just for vocals. You can get great results with the M80 in front of a guitar amp, over a snare drum, or virtually any other instrument that needs a detailed, well-balanced microphone.
Features:
- Dynamic supercardioid microphone vocals, instruments, or percussion
- Black finish, black grille
- Wide-ranging 50Hz-18kHz frequency response is perfect for both instruments and vocals
- Low-mass capsule and diaphragm responds quickly to sound for clear, detailed reproduction
- Capsule design reduces proximity effect so your sound doesn't become muddy or indistinct
- Includes microphone clip and carrying bag

The Telefunken M80-SH dynamic microphone delivers condenser-like performance, with the convenience and robustness of a dynamic mic. Unlike the midrange-heavy tone of many popular handheld mics, the M80-SH employs a low-mass capsule with an ultra-thin membrane to capture every nuance of your performance with amazing balance and detail. And with its compact form factor, you'll find it easy to place the M80-SH on snare drums and other hard-to-get-to sources. You don't need an expensive condenser mic to get studio-quality sound - you need the Telefunken M80-SH.

The Telefunken Elektroakustik M81 is the latest installment in their dynamic microphone range. Designed with the goal to develop a microphone that would not only complement the M80, Telefunken Elektroakustik's first dynamic offering, but to also stand out in a universe filled with dynamic microphone options.
When the M80 was first introduced in 2008, it quickly became a favorite in both live and studio environments. Its clear and detailed top end, articulate mid-range, and minimal proximity effect won the hearts (and ears) of thousands of new users, making it a staple for vocal and snare drum applications, as well as the most popular microphone in the Telefunken product line.
Building off many of the strengths of the M80, the Telefunken M81 retains the same minimal proximity effect, superior feedback rejection, and articulate mid-range. However, with the M81, the top end is pulled back a bit, yielding a flatter overall frequency response. This combination results in a microphone with a wealth of body and clarity, making it a great tool for taming brighter vocals and guitar tones and for fattening up percussion, horns and thinner sounding sources.
The Telefunken M81's tailored frequency response makes the microphone exceptional on electric guitars, percussion, rack and floor toms, and brass instruments. This microphone's wide range of uses and rugged reliability make it the workhorse for the new generation.
Finished in the same flint gray body tube and tri-chrome head grill styling as the R-F-T AR-51, the M81 is readily identifiable when reaching for the microphone. The M81 was very much designed with the AR-51 in mind. Great care was taken to tune the M81's overall response to be complimentary to the AR-51 when recording electric guitars.
Basically, the Telefunken M81 is designed to be used on... well, anything and everything! It truly is a "Universal Dynamic Microphone."

The M82 dynamic microphone expands Telefunken's lineup with a purpose-built kick drum mic any live or studio engineer can appreciate. Outfitted with an oversized 1.37" moving-coil diaphragm, the M82 provides you with superb low-frequency response. But, although Telefunken designed it for kick drums, this fat and punchy mic is also ideal for bass cabinets, voiceover work, and many other applications. On top of that, there's a switchable Kick EQ filter and a separate switchable High Boost function onboard the Telefunken M82, giving you four distinct sounds in one microphone.
Perfect for more than just kick drums
Although Telefunken specifically designed their M82 with kick drum in mind, this large-diaphragm dynamic instrument microphone it great for a wide range of other sources as well. Its large 1.37" moving coil diaphragm naturally responds smoothly to punchy and dynamic bass-heavy sources. When you stick an M82 on a bass cabinet or organ, you'll instantly hear the full depth of the bottom end, without losing full-range details, and it does absolute wonders with lower-register male vocals and voiceover work.
Cut out boxiness with flip of a switch
Real professional engineers know that it's always better to get the highest quality sound right at the source than to fix it in post. That's why Telefunken built a special Kick EQ switch into the M82 instrument microphone. This switch lets you instantly notch frequencies around 350Hz out of the M82, removing the flabby and boxy sound that can make your kick drum sound fall flat.
Boost your highs for better beater attack
Need a little more beater click to fill out your kick sound? Don't reach for the EQ - stitch on the M82's High Boost mode, and you'll get all the top-end definition you need. Not only will this built-in 2kHz shelving boost bring out beater attack, it also provides a noticeable presence boost that adds clarity to vocals, definition to organ percussion, and air to slap bass. Its just one more reason why the Telefunken M82 instrument microphone is such a great addition to any mic locker.
Features:
- Large-diaphragm cardioid dynamic microphone built to deliver massive kick-drum sound
- Ideal for use with kick drums, bass cabinets, deep voiceover/vocals, and other bass-heavy sources
- Oversized 1.37" moving-coil diaphragm provides powerful low-frequency response
- Kick EQ switch lets you notch filter out frequencies around 350Hz to remove boxiness
- High Boost switch lets you amplify 2kHz and up by 6dB for added high-end clarity and beater attack
- Housed in a super-rugged shell and headgrille for maximum durability

Telefunken TDA-1 (mono unit) and TDA-2 (dual unit) are new active FET direct box designs that utilize top quality components in a modern take on classic circuitry to give you a full, rich character that both complements and retains the natural tone and feel of your instrument. The TDA circuit employs discrete Class-A FET circuitry coupled with a high quality transformer that provides the perfect balance between clean, high headroom performance and warm, saturated tone with vibe.
Sonic Characteristic
While some direct boxes focus on providing sterile, ultra-clean gain, they often leave the instrument devoid of any soul or character. Conversely, some DI’s artificially hype too much low-end and overemphasize harmonic distortion, resulting in a tubby and undefined output. The Telefunken active DI avoids these common design pitfalls and delivers a new standard in reliability and performance for direct boxes.
Circuit Design
The heart of the design is a custom-wound output transformer by OEP/Carnhill, made in the UK. The circuit board features gold plated traces and is entirely hand-assembled with through-hole components, providing more secure and reliable connections than typical surface mount circuitry. The frequency response of the circuit is ± 1dB from 20 Hz to 50 kHz, with extremely low distortion and self-noise. Each individual unit is manually tuned by hand for the lowest distortion figure possible. High input impedance prevents the loading down of passive pickups. This careful attention to detail and high quality component choices results in a direct box with a harmonically rich low end and a detailed, open high-end clarity.
Construction
The circuit is housed in an extremely durable extruded aluminum enclosure with recessed switches and connectors. This rugged construction is virtually indestructible, able to easily withstand the wear and tear of gigging. Each channel features two heavy duty metal toggle switches to engage a -15 dB pad and ground lift. The circuit is powered from standard +48V phantom power with an LED indicating when it is powered. The TDA-2 unit features two independent DI channels with separate controls, giving you the ability to run two instruments through one footprint on stage or in the studio.

Few microphones are as iconic as Telefunken's U47 tube condenser microphone. This vintage-style tube studio microphone gives you the smooth and sweet sound that made the classic crooners of the 1950s come to life all around the world. In addition to vocals, the U47 is a long-time favorite for classical recordings, where its robust low-frequent handling, airy high end, and switchable cardioid/omnidirectional pattern make it ideal for Decca tree stereo mic arrangements.
A classic studio workhorse condenser for vocals, amps, and instruments alike
Whether you're recording the soulful crooning of a baritone vocalist or the open and airy sound of a chamber string quartet, the Telefunken U47 will provide you with the commanding midrange, extended low end, and glassy highs that have made this microphone a household name since 1946. From the loudest drums to the subtlest strains of nylon-string guitar, the U47 captures all of the beauty of any source you throw at it in exquisite detail. No matter which tube microphones you've recorded with, until you get your hands on a genuine U47, you'll never know what all the fuss is about.
Dual pickup pattern modes provide you with ideal recording options
One of the things that made the original U47 such a smash hit in the first place was its switchable polar pattern. Loaded with a dual-diaphragm capsule, the Telefunken U47 condenser microphone lets you choose from either cardioid or omnidirectional polar patterns. In addition to shaping the pickup area, these patterns also subtly change the sound of your mic, giving you the ability to fine tune your tone to best match your source.
Old-school engineering and modern electronics deliver timeless U47 tone
Technology has changed quite a bit since the Telefunken U47 first hit the street, and the original M7 capsule, as well as the military surplus VF-14M tubes that formed the heart of the U47 are long gone. But Telefunken has remained steadfastly committed to providing that classic U47 sound. That's why they developed amazing new components, ranging from the plug-and-play VF-14K vacuum tube to the BV8 output transformer. Hold them up side-by-side and you'll be hard pressed to tell a vintage U47 from a modern one. Plug them in and all you'll hear is pure amazing tube-microphone tone.
Telefunken U47 Tube Condenser Microphone Features:
- Telefunken's classic large-diaphragm tube studio condenser microphone updated for modern recording
- Classic smooth midrange, robust bass, and airy treble make this a real go-to microphone for any source
- Based on the microphones used on countless vocal and classical recordings from the 1950s and on
- Dual-sided M7 capsule provides you with both cardioid and omnidirectional polar patterns
- VF14K metal tube and BV8 output transformer provide smooth sound and tons of headroom
